MANASA SAROVARA – HISTORY REPEATS

It is history repeat and for the first time in the Kannada entertainment industry a popular Kannada film is coming as a sequel. The take off for this ‘Manasa Sarovara’ in Udaya TV from the first production of Dr Shivarajakumar and Nivedhita Shivarajakumar Muthu Cine Services goes back to the history. It brings in the veteran Dr Srinath, Padma Vasanthi and Ramakrishna key actors of that tragedy film in doyen SR Puttanna Kanagal direction.

The mega serial is showcasing to what happened to mad doctor played by Dr Srinath, how he is given treatment by Padma Vasanthi and Ramakrishna characters and further expansion of the story is done for this mega serial.

In the Indian cinema and TV industry it is for the first time the film is mixed with new subject and narration in small screen.

Dr Srinath remembering his role and difficult times of making the film says it was 35 years ago this film was popular. I am shown as going mad in the film. Such a film picked with more improvements in small screen is a delectable move from Dr Shivarajakumar. I have been part of his house for quite a long time. It is a challenge to make such TV serial with very fond memories of the past. The songs of that film are also utilized at places of this ‘Manasa Sarovara’ disclosed Dr Srinath. There are many intricacies that give scope for a very good watch of this film observes Pranaya Raja.

Dr Shivarajakumar addressing the media remembered the yesteryears cinema ‘Manasa Sarovara’ and said he has been great fan of Puttannaji. It was 11 years of age I watched Nagarahavu in Saphire theatre in Madras. I told my father immediately this film will be super hit. The same was passed to Puttannaji by Dr Rajakumar. Puttanna was surprised with Shiv statement. At young age the straight approach of Dr Shiv was immensely liked by Puttannaji. The dream of working with such a director for Shiv did not happen. Now with the film ‘Manasa Sarovara’ as title for my small screen production I would pay tribute legend Puttannaji he pointed. Amrutha Ghalige was another film Shiv mentioned and said it has been his one of the favorite films. The film ‘Manasa Sarovara’, I would have watched at least 25 times he mentioned. Edakallu Chandrasekhar will be also part of this mega serial and I am not appearing in any role in this mega serial firmly stated Shiv.

In Muthu Cine Services we have some more plans. All women cinema will be my next move. All the banners in our family belong to everyone. I have one film in the combination of Appu – Puneeth Rajakumar. My daughter Nivedhita has given brilliant thought. On bringing the ‘Manasa Sarovara’ to small screen Shiv says the thought of Puttannaji was always genuine.

Ram Jaisheel YK worked with Vinu Balanja and B Suresha is heading the direction department. There will be flash back and good substance for this generation. We would go more than 100 episodes as the content for shoot is ready he says.

At the time of making of ‘Manasa Sarovara’ there was tension and excitement, now I have Santosha and Ananda as the mega serial with the same name is coming from Dr Shivarajakumar.

Ramakrishna one of the top actors of Kannada cinema in his address stated he would consider this as ‘Shiva Prasada’. I am living in cinema because of Dr Rajakumar. It was he who made me Krishna in ‘Babruvahana’ and journey is because of Dr Raj in my life. Now from such a huge banyan tree Dr Shiv inviting is my honor. Normally I don’t like TV serials as it does not move. After Zee TV serial a decade ago I am here because of Raj family production he stated.
