The most ambitious and thoughtful decision of well known director Guru Deshpande ‘G Academy’ – an institute to train actor, directors, editors etc is inaugurated on Monday at Nagarabhavi locality. Sri Murali and Thara are chief guests at the inauguration.

Guru Deshpande addressing on this inauguration of his G Academy recalled his past and said there is great need for people who come to cinema to know better and then make a leap.

I have traveled 650 kilometers to Bengaluru. From Talikote of Bijapur district, I used to travel 80 kilometers to watch Kannada films in 90’s. I came to Bengaluru in 1999 and was given right guidance by Abdul Rehaman pasha at the Umesh Naik training institute. That was the days of ‘Chandana Chiguru’. It was Mahesh Sukhadhare took me to direction department and I was set and art division assistant earlier in G Murthy camp. I was distributor for sometime but lost money.

Directing five films and also producing a few in G Academy I have felt the grave need of filling knowledge in to the minds before entry to this arch light says Guru Deshpande.

G Academy is extending three months course in direction, acting, editing field at the beginning. For each course it is Rs.69000 fees for three months. There are 25 applications in acting, 15 in direction and five in editing says Guru Deshpande. A proper training with good team work shape up the budding personalities he assures.

On board he has eminent directors like Sunil Kumar Desai, Suresh Urs, BM Giriraj, Monesh Badiger, Sathyaprakash, Different Danny, Murali and others.

Manjunath, BM Giriraj, Mounesh, Girish (fitness trainer) were present at the media briefing on Saturday morning at SRV Auditorium.
