The prestigious 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival in which 200 films across the globe is taking place from March 24th to March 31st, 2021.
The most popular Bengaluru International Film Festival is deferred by a month this year because of Corona Pandemic. The Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announcing the date of the mega event also declared open the ‘Logo’ of the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival on Friday evening.
The Bengaluru International Film Festival, a joint effort of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and Government of Karnataka Department of Information and Public Relations is making hectic preparations.
The focus of this 13th Bengaluru International Film festival is ‘Exhibition on Significant Indian Art’. Apparently this 13th BIFFES is likely to get the recognition of FIAPF. The Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa pointed to the following up of Covid rules and regulations at this 13th BIFFES.
The Karnataka Information Minister CC Patil announced that at Rajajinagar Orion Mall in 11 screens 200 films from 50 countries screened from March 24 to March 31.
The Asian cinemas, Chitrabharathi (Indian cinema) and Kannada films competition section is part of the seven days event. The home to artists, biography, NETPAC and film critics federation award, seminars, workshops with experts and technicians with primary attention to students of cinema are part of the 13th BIFFES explained by President of KCA Suneel Puranika.
At the meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival the KFCC President DR Jairaj, Actors Shruthi, Thara Anuradha, producer Rockline Venkatesh, Department of Information and public relations secretary Azum Pervez, Information commissioner PS Harsha, Artistic director of 13th BIFFES Vidhyashankar, BS Lingadevaru, Producer NM Suresh and others were present.
