It was a touching and memorable book release event on Sunday evening at the Dr Ambedkar Bhavan. The presence of Smt Nagamma younger sister of Dr Raj, sons Raghavendra and Puneeth, daughter Smt Lakshmi, son in law Govindaraju and daughter in law Smt Mangala made huge difference to the book release of ‘Rajakumar – Ondhu Belaku and Rajakumar – Journey with legend. Praveen Nayak parents released the book.
Parents getting such prominence was also the wish of Dr Rajakumar remembered Praveen Nayak in his address and explained Dr Raj always remained as ‘Muthuraj’ till the end off screen. Praveen feeling pride at the book release event disclosed two years effort he has made and how Muralidhar Khajane, Ganesh Kasargod were instrumental in his work speeding up. I wanted the outsiders to know the greatness of Dr Rajakumar. That is why it has been translated to English by my friend U Ramachandra Bandarkar. Translation is also not an easy task felt Praveen Nayak.
Dr Rajakumar was like Everest Mountain when he was living and even today no one can match him. To some extent Rajakumar qualities are in Rajanikanth avaru.
Both in white costumes and simple without side effect people both had strength to emerge as ‘Kings’. Dr Rajkumar reacted for the land and language like that the children also should come out at required times felt Jaggesh in his address. Jaggesh remembered how he was saved from the depression by Dr Rajakumar once.
Power star Puneeth Rajakumar informed that he knows the difficulty of bringing this kind of book. Kannada and English book on my father is happiest moment.
