Look at the release of challenging star Darshan ‘Sarathi’ – September 30, 2011 – exactly on the 21st death anniversary Shanker Nag – there is a perfect tribute late Shanker Nag the dexterous personality who is known in the Auto Rikshaw circles more after his ‘Auto Raja’ film.
In Sarathi the clips of ‘Geetha’ song is used in the opening song ‘Athiratha Maharatha…. And it is as if Shanker Nag is dancing with Darshan in the film. Auto Raja Shanker Nag still lives in the memory. The film ‘Sarathi’ has ‘Raja’ in the first half name of Darshan. The auto chase is brilliant in the film; several Autos get smashed in the brilliantly acted and narrated ‘Sarathi’. Three cheers for Dinakar Toogudeepa.
Darshan in Prison at Parappana Agrahara for assault on his wife Vijayalakshmi and bail hearing is posted to October 4; we give you some of the dialogues of Darshan in the film. The film releasing at Dasara festival is very rightly released as goddess Chamundeswari is part of this film.
Go watch this film for many value elements – Darshan performance, Dinakar taught screenplay, lovely dialogues, Deepa Sannidhi, music of V Harikrishna, cinematography of Krishnakumar….Rangayana Raghu, Sarath Kumar, Seetha, Lohitashva, Sharat Lohitashva, to see the huge Chamundeswari ido, the Challakudy water falls….you have worth for your money.
D-D magic did not click in Navagraha – it is stupendous in ‘Sarathi’ – Navagraha was on stealing ‘Golden Howdah’ of Mysore while ‘Sarathi’ is on the significance of Goddess Chamundeswari at Chamundi Betta in Mysore.
D-D and Dasara has some affinity in the last two films!
