As a female doing something beyond what is expected from Malashri and lovely handling by debutant Anilkumar are the hallmark of this film ‘Shakthi’ Kannada cinema – the biggest action extravaganza in Kannada cinema today.

Malashri is known for such action films in the past have done something solid. The situations allotted to her in this film are vibrant and vitriolic.

The bombastic action from Malashri in three shades delivering the dialogues with excellent skill from Anilkumar this film is going to be an outstanding film.

What next with so much of action for Malashri in ‘Shakthi’ is the opinion generates for the discerning film reviewer. However there are good sentiments, good verses bad filled in 30/70 proportions.

Who is ‘Shakthi’? She is a Cooli with solid strength. For getting Rs.500 of her boss she takes on the goons that stun everyone. It is here from Shakthi is hired for assisting Anjanappa. The obedience to Anjanappa later becomes a thorn for him. To see the drop of tears not falling of Swathi (Radhika Gandhi) it is Shakthi who vows to see the happiness of Swathi. Swathi is in love with a college friend Vijay (Kiran).

When Shakthi supports Swathi and Vijay it is time for chase and big action. In this Shakthi is hit badly and she is hospitalized. At this point of time is the revealing of past of Shakthi.

Shakthi is none other than IPS Chamundi. For sending PWD minister to prison and teaching a hard lesson to Rudramma in Rayadurga she faces a big setback. It is at this setback time she is found by a Coolie in the market and keeps her in his business.

Malashri is best and Anilkumar is ultimate in his work of screenplay, dialogues and direction. The words used in ‘A’ letter starting could have been avoided.

Sayyaji Shindhe dubbing is a drawback. Sharat Lohitashva, Avinash, Hema Chaudhary have given ferocious performances.

Five action directors have given their best. Lot of properties has gone up in the air and the effect very important in the cinema has worked out.

Shivarajakumar song Baidiyu Saguthide…is at the right time and special compliments to Malashri for dubbing for her role in this film. There are some sharp dialogues.
