The majority of the people in the society either say ‘Thayaane’ or ‘Devraane’. Director Lucky Shanker reeling in the success of ‘90’ has kept ‘Devaraane’ as the title of his Shiv-Shanker Film Factory film. The title of the film ‘Devaraane’ was unveiled by producer Shiv Kabbin prior to the media briefing of the Ugadi day launch film.
Keeping aside the several offers from Kannada, Telugu and Tamil Lucky Shanker has taken up this film which he discussed with veteran GV Iyer when he was living. For Krishnaleele television serial of GV Iyer I have worked as editor and around that time I discussed this subject stated Shanker. 30 well known artists are acting in this film. There are characters like Chitte Swamy, Long Swamy, Hoge Swamy, Kari Krishna etc. Sadhu Kokila is ordinary human being who does not believe in god. There are four songs to this film says Shanker. The shooting will be held at Rudrashrama, GV Iyer Ashram, Rockline studio and other places.
‘Chombu and Jagate’ are also part of this film and Tabla Naani has made the final version of dialogues revising three times.
Shivu Kabbin disappointed in the pas for not getting chance to become assistant director. Moving to garment factory and real estate Shivu Kabbin has come to production side now.
Ravishanker is in the lead role and he feels it is difficult to do this kind of role. There is a message also in the film says Ravishnaker. Tabla Naani is playing the drunkard role once again besides writing dialogues. Raju Thalikote is a researcher in his own style with a variety in his mannerism. Malur Srinivas is contemplating on 70’s type of dance and three other on regular lines.
Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash, Mithra, Bank Janardhan, Tennis Krishna, Biradar, Michael Madhu, Potre Nagaraj, Ramanayak, Sadashiva Brahmavar, Nagaraj Kote, Kuri Pratap, Layendra, Achari, Chikkanna and others are in the cast.
Sadhu Kokila is scoring music and MR Seenu is the cameraman of ‘Devaraane’.
