For the maiden Kannada film ‘Godfather’ audio release on Saturday night at Chancellery Hotel at Richmond Road Bengaluru the center of attraction was humble looking world class music director AR Rahman who is known as ‘Mozart of Madras’.

‘Namasthe Channagiddira….AR Rahman said in Kannada and switched to English. The demand of Kannada audience wherever I went will be fulfilled now because I have scored a Kannada film music. In USA and other places there is great demand from my fans stated Rahman before a felicitation by producer K Manju producer of ‘Godfather’ cinema.

Rahman recalled his early days of work for Dwarakish banner for music directors Vijabhasker, Vijayanand and Hamsalekha. I am really grateful to Hamsalekha for saying so many good things today about me. Rahman attended the audio release event for more than one hour. He saw and heard the compositions he made for the film ‘Godfather’ from the voice of Vijayaprakash, Shwetha Mohan and Naresh Iyer.

The cultural show of the evening began with Dr Sanjay dance for a song. ‘Godfather’ directed by Sriram has seven songs in the album and that is marketed by Ashwini Media Network Limited Prasad.

Dwarakish remembered the ‘Dance Raja Dance’ days of Dilip that AR Rahman in his speech. I want this debut of AR Rahman in ‘Godfather’ should be a silver jubilee said Dwarakish.

Hansalekha addressing on this occasion said he has liberty to address Rahman silngularly. He is Namma Dilip who did a mega work in music so far. The north and south gap was filled by Maestro Ilayaraja. AR Rahman one step ahead has brought together the Indian and Europe music together from his music.

Known for brilliant address on every occasion Ramesh Aravind explained the height of genius Rahman with an example. Ramesh also brought to the notice of AR Rahman the importance of Kannada culture in his speech.
