Except the ‘Athma’ arriving on screen in this 21st century and solving crisis of his lover everything is good in this film. In the dream also such conceptualization is impossible says the pragmatic people.
Rajesh Nair in his debut film ‘Mandhahaasa’ has given room for a very good smile for audience from his technical brilliance. Somehow the ‘Athma’ visible to one persons in the pre interval and then to a bunch of four persons in the climax is debatable.
The cozy beginning, the cool breeze like narration and eye catching locations captured by Pathaje and very good tunes from Veer Samarth definitely catches the attention. In the performance wise also newcomer Chetan is brilliant and Nikii Das attempted well.
There is grandeur for this film and grand climax was needed. There is no lag; the location hunt made for the film is also quite absorbing.
Above all the colleague of cinema journalism late RG Vijayasarathy – jazzy costumes, chains around the neck, cowboy cap and good emotions of RGV especially in the end – we miss him a lot.
Chetan in his debut has the perfect height, good in dance, able in histrionics. Nikii Das wide mouth sometime is a little stress to watch, Rakesh has made good attempt. Palak Mithra is quite OK, Dr Srinath is right choice for the role.
Kannanchinalli eno Heluvaase…Modala Chaddi Friendu… and Yarigu Kanada Kamana Billide…are superb tunes from Veera Samarth.
Pure love, care of a father to daughter, deceit, repentance all roll in this film ‘Mandhahasa’.
