Rock is in good stock! A film full of female technicians and key actor Radhika Yash in ‘Adi Lakshmi Purana’ is a wholesome entertainer. Priya V as debutant director could have given good pace and some value addition to first half but in second half she is thorough as the screenplay moves fast with developments.
Rockline Venkatesh picking up this film for production has made a good choice. The aspect of Lakshmi character is found in many places. The loss of self confidence when there is some setback for the girl happens is found everywhere. The base for this is the ‘Sullu’ – lie from Lakshmi that takes the other characters to confusion. But the audiences are not in tension as they know the final end of Indian cinema would be happy ending. Same happens.
Adi is handsome hunk an undercover police officer. He is behind the drug peddlers SLD sticker. This particular sticker is creating havoc in the society. Adi is pitching on key culprit and he is given free hand. The personal life of Adi is in doldrums as he has parents pestering for his marriage. He had seen Lakshmi (Radhika Yash) and bowled over by her beauty.
The life of Lakshmi is filled with uttering lies. Sometime she utters even for a joke. But her marriage is a shock to Adhi. Adhi is very pertinent of Lakshmi in his life. He is even ready to live with her with a 7 year girl child.
Lakshmi is married and she is with a child is a big lie. Adhi and his friends are not aware of the fact. As this particular lies reaches the peak the issue of nabbing drug mafia culprits also reaches end point.
How Adi comes out from commotion in life. Whether he gets Lakshmi in life? Is he able to catch the international drug lord? You have to watch it on silver screen.
Nirup Bhandari has given a neat and tidy performance. Undercover officer playing the role in under play style is absorbing at places. Radhika Yash as Lakshmi is no doubt a screen stealer. She is lively and energetic.
Thara and Suchindra Prasad is another couple you would love to watch without a miss. Yashwanth Shetty, Vishal and Bharat Kalyan have given a splendid support.
Anoop Bhandari in his lyrics and music has tried new. Kuntalle….song is an example of novelty. Dialogues are well written, editing is crisp and cinematography by Prita Jayaraman is another high point of this film. Ramesh Aravind commentary
This is worth a family watch ‘Adi Lakshmi Purana’!
