It is not just enough if you have money and contacts to make a cinema. You should have brain. You have to collect opinion from cross section of people before going on the floor. This is a competitive world - not even a minute the audiences should get bored! As a matter of fact this debutant director Naveen Reddy has picked contents from various Kannada films to make this film. The protagonist hearing to his father and taking up job for two years is what we have seen in ‘Googly’. This film could be cut by 20 minutes easily and pace is what a big botheration.
Yet the film has of pleasure and displeasure. All at the end realizing life is more important than love settle down at work. The entry of fourth heroine Sindhu Lokanath is a final point for the protagonist. The third heroine Priyanka of ‘Ganapa’ fame is utilized for the purpose of confusing the Aditi character and later for the audience.
Over possessive Saahiti pays penalty in life by losing Akil. Akil on the other hand almost coming close to Lavanya comes before his father saying that he is a ‘Loser in life’. Come on my son cheer up says father and gives a small lecture that comfort Akil alias Akira to get in to the boots of business. Saahiti gets married to another boy and settles in foreign, Lavanya takes her direction seriously. Akira loses in the beginning and gains tremendously in the end.
This is no doubt a big opening for Aneesh. He has danced well, emoted well and looks well set for a long innings. Krishi Tapanda scores more for her lively performance. Aditi Rao is quite OK, Priyanka and Sindhu have nothing much to do. Avinash as agile father is a fitting booster to the long drawn out cinema.
Ajanish Lokash has struggled hard to give music. At Anupama theatre the sound system is so poor that we get only sound no lyrics to ears. Yogi camera work is good.
This is not a compelling cinema. Naveen is novice in many places.
