Beware of Rain says director, writer, actor and producer S Mohan. Banking on the 1950 play ‘Deadly Game’ with a public prosecutor, Hangman, Defense lawyer and 14 years served criminal are mixed up in screenplay with Mohan, Kavitha Borah, Soujanya and Bhumika in the cast Mohan has delivered a competent film.
How the protagonist gets locked with the team of judge, PP, defense lawyer, hangman is interesting introspection point on the one side and secondly for the front benchers S Mohan has given ‘Bisi Bele Bath’ via romantic moments with Kavitha Bora, Soujanya and Bhumika.
Mohan a businessman with clever mind on a rainy night is in an isolated house that is the bungalow of a judge. He gulps a few pegs and challenge that he has not done any mistake in life. The team of judge and others ask Mohan to play a game that later turns very deadly for Mohan.
It is at this house the court scene prepared also gets a flash back mood. It never bores at any moment of time. You would cautiously wait for a ‘Deadly Game’.
Mohan is too good with multiple responsibilities. His dialogues are terrific. His romantic moments are bonus. Dattanna, Sharat Lohitashva, Srinivasa Prabhu, Kari Subbu are superb in their performance.
The background score of Layendra matches the moments. There are only two songs – sung by couple S Mohan and Srividya.
Camera work that holds the audience to their seats is on top order. There is every reason for you to book your tickets for ‘Male Nilluvavarege’.
Score – 4/5
