Here is a unique thought and progressive thinking from film journalist’s fraternity. That is ‘Chandanavana Film Critics Academy’ evolved on Tuesday (10th of September 2019) morning in the presence of century star Dr Shivarajakumar, KFCC President Jairaj, Rockline Venkatesh and Dr V Nagendra Prasad at SRV Theatre. All the four fraternity key personalities have extended support to this formation. Rockline Venkatesh and Dr Shivarajakumar have urged for setting up awards in veteran names from this CFCA and they are provide necessary help for it.
Chandavana Film Critics Academy as first step is giving awards to 20 plus categories for the films released in 2019 in an event in 2020 January. The beauty of this event is that film journalists of print, electronic and web media are selecting the awards. The jury of ‘CFCA’ finally picks the best from the nominations made by the film journalists.
The nonprofit organization registered under the Companies Act of 1956 ‘CFCA’ idea first came to the mind of Shyamprasad Entertainment editor of Bangalore Mirror. Later it was given right impetus by senior and junior journalists pumping more ideas.
The intention is to support the good quality of films. For the Awards Academy came in to existence agrees Shyamprasad founding father of CFCA. We are at the formative stage and several developments takes place from now onwards says Shyamprasad.
Speaking on this occasion Dr V Nagendra Prasad said it was right on the part of giving rose to media friends especially jury members because it has both the elements.
The importance of taking this award is like ‘OSCAR’ opined Dr V Nagendra Prasad appreciating the motto of the CFCA.
KFCC President Jairaj liked the ‘Academy’ word inclusion in the CFCA. Producer Rockline Venatesh feels getting award from this CFCA is like obtaining national awards. The noted producer also made an appeal to the film journalist fraternity in growth of Kannada filmdom. We don’t have gap with the journalists. From the beginning a good correlation is found. Don’t take us to low levels he felt.
Dr Shivarajakumar speaking on this occasion admitted that he got lot of corrections in profession from media in the last 33 years of his career. I have seen some journalists from my beginning, some of them about last 10 years and two years. Be fair to cinema fraternity. In life it is give and take best thing to think. I am alone would demolish him. Don’t pull the legs but let us have healthy discussion observed Dr Shiv on this occasion.
The jury members and PROs of Kannada cinema were presented a rose flower. The guests got the book written by film journalists instead of bouquets.
Journalist cum actor Yethiraj handled the event with careful words; Divya Alur who lent her voice for the audio visual presentation (not present at event) was thanked for her cooperation.
