The legendary writer of Kannada literature has given a touching and convincing film ‘Hasiru Ribbon’. The legend knows how to pinch for right treatment in the society. This is what exactly Dr HSV has done. In his first film he has worked very accurate on his screenplay of 101 minutes. The minimum selection of characters and near perfection in acting by team members is redeeming feature of this film.

One of the incidents from ‘Anathmakathana’ of Dr HSV autobiography is very relevant to the present society that is filled with corruption and betrayal.

Look at the angle of this glorious writer and director. Like Maneya Modala Paatashale, Maneye Modala roots for eradicating corruption and betrayals he observes.

The child in the family of Girija Lokesh asking why elders quarrel is stunning and holds a mirror, when character of Girija Lokesh addresses ‘Hana Sannadu, Manushya Saha Sannavanagabeka’  and in the second half when wife in the family says ‘Anyayada Anna Nanna Gantalu Iliyalla’ that is best part of the film too.

The Kannadigas should feel proud of a top class film from a top class writer of literature of Kannada. You don’t have to give any reason to abstain from the theatres.

In the days of technological developments, commercial crops ruling the roost, this kind of a cool breeze from Dr HSV is magnificent indeed.

Upasana Mohan is second hero of the film and his scorings not giving up the light music touch is admirable. MD Pallavi song Benna Hindene Naa Bandene Yelluntu Nanna Nandana….is sure to give her awards and Ustad in writing Dr HSV lines are so touching.

PVR Swamy in his cinematography lifts the film from his close up shots.

Girija Lokesh composed performance, Supriya Rao as wife of Nikhil Manjoo protests on betrayal nature, Chytra (looks like olden days Lakshmi – Julie Lakshmi), Kumari Rithvika are so natural in their performance.

This is the film that every family should watch. This is the kind of cinema that is a path changer in the present society.
