KILADIGALU CHILDREN FILM AUDIO COMES

There was a Kannada film ‘Kiladigalu’ starring Dr Vishnuvardhana and Dwarakish in Dwarakish direction in 1994. Now ‘Kiladigalu’ after 23 years is a film on the children trials and tribulations by Anand Cinemas produced by Mahendra Munnoth.

Mahendra Munnoth proprietor of Maruthi Medicals known for humbleness, knowledge, patriotism, admiration to Kannada language and cow protection plays a cop in this film. He is the lone fighter in rounding off the child lifters in the society. He looks like Dr Vishnuvardhana in ‘Nishakarsha’ with army cap and side look. Addressing the media at the audio release of the film Mahendra Munnoth says the contents of this film are very interesting. He has worked for seven days. At the busiest locality in City Market without disturbing the general public and traffic he took part at early morning shots for this film. He has given four minutes nonstop dialogue delivery for this film. He has participated in action portions and chases the culprits in the film.

Hariharan story, screenplay, director of the film an ardent devotee of Chamundeswari goddess found a small piece of paper at Chamundi Hills and that drove him to make a subject on children lifting and using them for crime. He has worked for six months on the script and shot for 81 days in Bengaluru surroundings. He also dealt about the topics of youths going to foreign country for jobs and children-parent relations. A rich class, middle class and poor class children he has used to narrate his film ‘Kiladigalu’. There are 167 characters in the film out of which 48 are children. Turning his attention on producer Mahendra Munnoth, director Hariharan says his support is main for the film. According to Hariharan, this is the best of all the films of Mahendra Munnoth in acting.

Hailing from Mysuru Hariharan worked as Coolie to support his living in school days. He evinced interest in theatre plays and worked for a few years in various plays, small roles in TV and cinema came looking for him.

Three songs and one bit are composed by AT Ravish. There is a song on children games of ancient times; a sorrow song penned by Dr V Nagendra Prasad, Ajay R Vedanthi and Hrudayashiva penned a song each. The film is at RR stage. AT Ravish appreciated the discipline of Mahendra Munnoth.

Cameraman Niranjan explained the hard work before going to shoot for six months. Three songs of the film ‘Kiladigalu’ were screened at Green House Raj Milan.
