One of the legendary still photographers GS Narayaswamy and a brilliant actor on stage, art director and singer Shivaraj (Shivu Chikkappa) breathed their last. It is a huge loss to the art field in particular.

GS Narayanaswamy was a specialist in still photography. He had taken some of the loveliest moments of Dr Rajakumar – especially the Yoga Postures of Dr Rajakumar. He was clicking the film stills and in the pages of the `Vijayachitra` his photographs were a treat to watch.

GS Narayanaswamy aged 85 in his career graph clicked the photographs of first Prime Minister of India Jawaharalal Nehru. Admiring his speed of work Nehruji affectionately touched his cheeks.

Narayanaswamy residing at Konanakunte Coconut extension house of his daughter was leading a retired life with walking, chatting with friends etc. The life of GS Narayaswamy came to an end on Monday.

Narayanaswamy was also a specialist in taking sports and political photographs. The photographs he clicked of Amitabh Bachchan when he met with an accident at ‘Coolie’ shooting, Kapil Dev bowling and all three wickets on air….photographs of Dr Raj, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, NTR, Kantha Rao, Sahukar Janaki, Jayanthi, Saroja Devi, Kalyan Kumar, Udayakumar….there are innumerable shots from the hands of GSN

Another talent we lost on Monday is ace actor on stage, art director, singer and a traveler. He worked with Shanker Nag in Malgudi Days, Kashinath, Sunil Kumar Desai and even for films of Kichcha Sudeep the art direction and expertise was there in the early days of him.

Shiva Chikkappa affectionately known was a writer, director and singer. He was an event designer in IT.com events. The song Shivaraj sung in `Ananthana Avanthara`  Navarathriyalli Maduve Nadeyabeku….is very popular. He was close to Nadabrahma Hamsalekha also.

It is so sad that we lost two giants in one day  2021 is also turning tragic.
