NO FILMS TO UFO AND QUBE
Posted date: 24 Sat, Feb 2018 10:08:32 AM

The stern decision not to give new films to UFO/Qube system of film screening has been arrived by six southern states film chamber of commerce.

The decision not to supply films for exorbitant rates is with effect from March 2. In Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Karnataka, Kerala and Puduchery the new films will not come on 2nd of March – this announcement was made in the presence of SIFCC Ravi Kottarkar by KFCC President Sa Ra Govidu.

The UFO ad QUBE system of screening films will have a parallel system soon. The two earlier meetings with UFO and QUBE to reduce 25 percent of cost have gone to deaf ears. They charge nothing for English films but south Indian films the charge is ranging from Rs.14000 to 27000. We have sought 25 percent cut on this fee. They are not obliging. So we will not supply films from March 2 says Sa Ra Govindu.

The declaration not to supply new films from March 2 was announced at an emergency meeting on Friday evening.

At the initial stages UFO came with just Rs.50. they have gone up to 27000 rupees. They make lakhs of rupees in the advertisement. We have asked for share to distributor and producer from such earning as the main product is given from film industry. They never bothered to look in to it.

KFCC members MG Ramamurthy, Chandraekhar, Narasimhulu, NM Suresh and others were present at the emergency media briefing.
