Now it is complete. All the three sons of icon of Kannada cinema have followed the record set by his father. We are referring to Dr.Rajakumar and his three sons – Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar and Puneeth Rajakumar.
The coming September 13th a new record is set in the Kannada filmdom with power star Puneeth Rajakumar’s ‘Milana’ completing one year run successfully. MILANA (released on 14th September 2007) Banner – Sri Chowdeshwari Cine Creations and Sri Jaimatha Combines Producer – Dushyanth, Story, Screenplay and Direction – Prakash, Cinematographer – A.V.Krishnakumar, Music – Manomurthy, Cast – Puneeth Rajkumar, Parvathi Menon, Pooja Gandhi, Dilipraj, Sumithra, Mukyamantri Chandru, Shobaraj Sumithra and others after receiving rave reviews running successfully finally landed in the morning show at PVR cinema hall. This is where the film is reaching one year screening. Prior to this Kannada film ‘Gaalipata’ ran successfully for one year at PVR cinema hall. To the list of one year adds Murali’s debut film ‘Chandra Chakori’ that is directed by S.Narayan and produced by former chief minister of Karnataka H.D.Kumaraswamy.
What Dr.Rajakumar set the record from ‘Bangaradha Manushya’ (104 weeks screening) later continued in ‘Shanker Guru’ and ‘Jeevana Chaitra’ his first of the three sons Raghavendra Rajakumar’s ‘Nanjundi Kalyana’ (debut of actress Malashri) completed one year screening in States theatre. Later the second son of Rajanna hat trick hero Shivarajakumar and Shilpa starring ‘Janumadha Jodi’ equaled the record of Raghavendra Rajakumar. It ran for one year and ‘Janumadha Jodi’ was excellent in the making and collection wise like ‘Nanjundi Kalyana’.
Now the third son of Dr.Rajkumar – power star Puneeth Rajakumar has also achieved the feat of one year screening of ‘Milana’ film.
