Another short film with very good thought from Thyagaraj (handicap) software professional has surfaced. He not only makes salute to Solider and Famer but also save the country from RDX explosion. This is the debut short film for a feature film in the later days.
In this world the two important special personalities are – Farmer and Soldier is the theme of this film ‘Sreshtaru’.
The reason behind debut director Thyagaraj to take up a short film is because of his visit to Chitradurga. He was seeing sunflower crops that later became a flat drought land causing worries for the farmers. At the same time he saw the death of Hanumanthappa Koppad a soldier and mixed the trouble of the country from the terrorists. He has shot for this short film in Uttar Karnataka region such as Challakere, Hiriyur for five days. Although he was former software employee he could not get the adequate finance to his short film. At that time the solider role Viraj introduced Ra Rajaeshwari couple. They saw the first copy and came forward to meet the further expenses for the film.
Thyagaraj spent Rs.2.5 lakhs on this short film and assures return of Rs.1.75 lakhs via ticket sale for a few shows. Later on he is taking the film to various awards and having shows at different districts to get back the investment.
Smt Rajeshwari says she had seen the struggle of this team and came forward for the support. This is a very neat and interesting short film she says.
Ajith cameraman has used the Sony brand camera for this short film. Naveen of Koppal district is in farmer role. He has learnt the diction of that region to perform in the role. Viraj actor in a comedy role in ‘Pushpaka Vimana’ of last year played soldier role. Ashwini in farmer wife role has acted in short films earlier.
