Finally a real life story Bethenegere has hit the stands that gives chilling experience for underworld tale lovers. For the first time Sumanth and Akshay, sons of producer Venkatappa and Shailendra Babu respectively have opened up in acting. They are convincing in the roles of Shiva and Shekar. Mohan Gowda close to the real life personalities has given inside out. He has shown how the innocence is misused for political gains. The characters of Avinash and Shobaraj cost heavily on ‘Bethenegere’ siblings ‘Shiva and Shekar’.

What exactly that leads to the rivalry is the significance of Shiva and Shekar. They are inseparable on the young age. The venom is fed for two. Thanks to Vinod Kambli who is in jail in regular outfit (a grace mark). When Shiva is inside, the poison of vengeance is fed on Shekhar. When Shekar is inside poison of vengeance is  fed on Shiva. Both feel bad for happenings. The operators for such mischief is traced and given punishment. But before that a lot happens in the land of underworld. Do not jump to this underworld says director Mohan Gowda.

There is good speed for the film. Action portion are pretty good.  Akshay and Sumanth steal the show. Naina in her debut has touch and go role. Vinod Kambli as kurup Junglee looks like a buffoon.   On what charges he is inside. You do not set answer. When Shekar is gunned down by cop Shashikumar the question remains. Before  that Shekar give away his assets to his follower and ask them to lead a good life.

Bethenagere is also a topic told innumerable times on Kannada screen.

Cinematography is par excellence.  There are rhythmic dialogues that are timely placed
