It is very difficult to get a film that is absolutely fit to the title. This is one such film ‘Fair and Lovely’. The first half is fair and second half is Lovely.

The story of journalist turned actor Yethiraj has been adjusted to the silver screen by intelligent director Raghuram in this film. When the female protagonist says ‘Behind successful women there is a man’ = the gentleman would feel extremely proud. Instead of male bashing giving ‘Shabhash’ for male is good Deepavali gift from Dr Shilpa Ramesh Ramani and team.

A mistake of his friends makes the police to chase Manu. After a long run Manu hides in the room of a mansion. He is not aware of anything. The next moment is the ravishing beauty Bhumika (Shwetha Srivatsav) undressing and dressing. It is a raid by the police on the ground floor. Not aware of the place he is Mani pushes Bhumika under the cot. When they come out it is seizure of the house.

Only Manu and Bhumika in the huge house are not able to get out as the police surround the house. Manu with his mobile speaks to his friends to save him from this film. That is not easy.

In the living the two get to know each other. That is shocking for Manu. Bhumika is by compulsion a prostitute. In the process of narrating her tale Bhumika covers up something for one cause. That is revealed in the hospital. How Manu escape with Bhumika from that house, what is the sacrifice Manu makes, what happens in the hospital and for whom Bhumika living you have get answers in the theatres.

Prem as lovely star looks lovely and his action is too good. Shwetha Srivatsav carries forward her dialogue queen image from ‘Simple Ag Ondh Love Story’.

This is a film of Jade Planet gives lot of twists especially in the second half that how situations play havoc. When there is female bashing in some portions the end part is grand for men.

Without vulgarity in scenes the dialogues do that part. Double meanings could have been avoided. Yet the luxury part of the film is production values.

V Harikrishna has shown how good he is in melody. Three songs are superb from his scorings. Jagadish Wali is equally good in his camera.

Don’t waste your time. A family watch for sure! Score – 4/5.
