Director Nanjunda Krishna returning after 14 years to direction is on right track for the present generation. He is slow in the first half – a few songs lift the first half while the second half is loaded with developments that make a good family entertainer.

Like ‘Manegondu Magu’, we have in the urban city ‘Manegondu Software’. Knowing the moods, attitudes and hectic schedule of this software guys director Nanjunda Krishna tossed up a fair and lovely cinema ‘Melody’.

There are very melodious moments in the film and in the second half discordant notes starts rolling as impersonation is not tolerated by female protagonist.

Very shy natured CEO of a company who considers his job more than God played by Rajesh Krishnan falls in love with Karthika Menon. He does not have guts to meet and express his love. It is face book upload of a photo that brings the two very close on mobile. Again Rajesh is shy to talk and he gives this talk time free for Chetan Gandharva.

To know about Rajesh, Karthika Menon sends her best friend Akshata. This time Chetan mixes up with Akshata create tantrums. Yet the good heart of Chetan impresses. Karthika is ready for the match. Soon after first night of the newly married couple a bucket full of water is thrown on the face of Rajesh by Karthika. She knows that the face book photo is a fake one and it is not Rajesh who spoke to her but Chetan impersonated.

‘Priti mathu obbarige, Deha innobbarige’ is the situation that severely hurts Karthika. What happens with such an inconvenient atmosphere? You have to buy ticket and tolerate first half.

Rajesh Krishna for his sober nature has the right role. Chetan Gandharva attracts from his looks and Salsa song. Karthika Menon is not competent; Akshata is good in her debut. Yamuna Srinidi as sister of Rajesh Krishna is very good.

There are two more winners of this ‘Melody’. LN Shastry has given four lovely tunes. Two are melodious and two are peppy. Onduralli Raja Rani….is best of the lot! Cinematography Nageshwara Rao is superb. All shots are shining and glowing.
