What do you require for a wholesome entertainer – you have it in this ‘Ram Leela’. It is like an assorted sweet box for the family with many joyous moments that keeps you engaged from the start of the film.

So far the best script of producer Soundaraya Jagadish and screenplay is concerned is immaculate in strength. Although remake of Telugu film ‘Laukya’ it is fittingly done in Kannada with good production values, lovely star cast, wonderful locations. A worth watching film for the family in this Deepavali season!

Raam (Chiranjeevi Sarja) is not an ordinary guy. He is master in making movies and he is like a good ring master in this film. He escapes Annaji daughter from the Kalyana Mantapa and before that he keeps his parents safe. That is the good move as the trouble is sure to come up from Annaji. In the later reels Raam falls in love with Chandrakala (Amoolya) who is none other than Annaji second daughter.

There is opponent for Annaji (Shobaraj) that is Ravikaale. Knowing the moods and moments of these two tormentors, Raam makes a few more moves and that lands up Annaji in his own house. That is the ‘Vaasthu Prakara’ drama. At this house even the parents of Raam (Rangayana Raghu and Tulasi) plus Sippe (Sadhu Kokila) who is a good comedy piece in the film sense the right things but it is not that easy for Raam to twist it according to his convenience. At the time of engagement of Chandrakala with Raghu there is some more twist. The first daughter of Annaji appears on the scene. The engagement is cancelled.

It is a blessing in disguise for Chandrakala and Raam. Further to this interesting knot all around Raam the sudden twist of Annaji old rival Ravi Kaale brings some more commotion. What result you find is really convincing, happy and engaging to end the film.

Chiranjeevi Sarja looking handsome has done almost what Puneeth Rajakumar in ‘Raam’ and Challenging star Darshan in ‘Brindavana’ had done. He is too good in action, dance and dialogue delivery should improve.

Amoolya is like the best chocolate of this country. She is so sweet and convincing. Shobaraj as Annaji has given splendid performance. Sadhu Kokila in comedy track is very good. Rangayana Raghu, Tulasi Shivamani, Chikkanna, Ravishanker Gowda , Urvashi, Tennis Krishna are apt.

Master Snehith in a guest role and Soundaraya Jagadish in one shot appear in this film.  Anoop Reuben has given three lovely songs and the cinematography of Bharani K Dharan match the luxury requirement of the film so well. Editing, dialogues and lyrics are apt for this film.

Vijay Kiran has given a well measured cinema ‘Raam Leela’. It is time to rejoice watching ‘Raam Leela’.

‘Ram Leela’ has all chances of winning like ‘Krishna Leela’!
