Keeping a commercial hero, going back to 600 years of history and shaping a very relevant film for the present society is no mean task. The guts of producer Kumaraswamy Pathikonda and effort of Indra Babu as director plus Dr Shivarajakumar commitment towards the role should be appreciated.

Look at the last scene of the film - Kabhira is sent out from the colony. The Hindu Muslim community follows where he moves ahead that shocks the king.

After all we are all human beings. The Hindu and Muslim come from birth. You don’t ask for it. The asking for everyone in this world to live peacefully is humanity.

Kabhira hailing from an ordinary weaving community is a man of profound knowledge. He fights for Hindus and Muslim equally. He does not show any disparity. He is a man full of humanity. His philosophy is live and let live. Such iconic personality even touched the heart of father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

In the internal squabbles of both the religion the axe falls on Kabhira. He never minds for it. From the Dohas he constructs the trouble shooter is pinched. The downtrodden he looks with extra care and never looks for something beyond what he is entitled. He is punched in lathis, immersed in water as punishment. He does not budge on his humanity angle and questioning the wrong practices that is having ulterior motives. That is what makes Kabhira an embodiment of oppressed. When his Dohas are asked to shut, he sings with high pitch with zeal and protest. The persons like Kabhira we find very rarely.

Director Narendra Babu not pitching on the life sketch, he has just followed the work of Bhishma Sahni that is translated to Kannada by Gopal Vajpayee.

Of course more punch was needed in discarding the wrong doers and protecting the depressed. More drama was not included because of the saint nature and philosophy of Kabhira. The songs appearing without connectivity should have been taken care.

Dr Shivarjakumar gets full marks for his complete immersion into the role. Giving away all heroism, Dr Shiv accepting this rare content filled cinema shows how his mind is growing and progressing. He deserves a few awards for his performance.

Avinash, Bhagirathi Bai Kadam, Prakash Shenoy, Sharat Lohitashva, Sarath Kumar, Sanusha, Prashanth Siddi, Vaishali have done their duties very well.

It is amazing in cinematography. Naveen Kumar has given the environment needed for this film with wonderful art work, makeup, costumes supporting it.

Coming from Hindi to Kannada Ismail Darbar shows his capacity with high pitch melody and wonderful tuning of songs.

This is a film that needs attention. Slowly the quality and content gets in to the mind and heart.
