Utopian Upendra ‘Uppi 2’ has magnificent first half – it is philosophical, psychological, logical and typical. The second half is confusion confounded. He really leaves a lot of guessing to your mind. The first half ‘Hula Tegeyodu’, second half is ‘Hula Bidodu’.

The factor of ‘Neenu’ from ‘Naanu’ is mesmerizing at many places. Take a look at First half of the film:

He is serene looking, smiling and lives in present. He does not think of past and future. Present – what you see is Sathya he says firmly and lives accordingly.

·        ‘Neenu’ is ‘Aase, Ahankara, Kobbu, Kopa’ – if you keep something in mind you cannot see ‘Nagna Sathya’. No one has guts to see ‘Nagna Sathya’. That is truth.

·        The life of present is important. Avaravara Iruvege Avru Batte Bichchthaare!

·        Yochane – thinking always a problem. Yaake, Hege, Enu is not a matter. The Uppittu in front you should happily and enjoy and not think of tomorrow ‘Obbattu’ – that is Yadavattu.

·        Permanent murder means taking him from your mind. Avana Ninna Tale Inda Kole Madkolli!

Such a thinker and liver in the society is a surprise for everyone. Come to the second half Upendra opens up why he lived like that in the first half.

It is full of confusion and he has the speed and zoom of telling things. It is all for the money. There comes Baaba of the Himalaya, Sheela who is stuck with this ‘Baaba Uppi’. He is a trickster you know. He is working for someone in the different avatars. He is a very smart fellow in duping everyone in the society. He is ‘Bekufa’. He is behind wants and whatever he has told in the first half is contradictory in the second half.

Upendra is wonderful in many moments = direction, acting, dialogue delivery. He does not disappoint fans. He has many dialogues and songs that are suitable to orchestra on the street side. There is lack of melody songs. The acting of Upendra in the first half is real beauty. In the second half we see the films shades of ‘Shivam, Brahma’ etc.

In the opening you find what you find in the end. The title card is different. On two times screen goes blank. That is the ‘Will’ power of Upendra.

Kristina is superb in her debut. She looks sweet and acted well. Parul Yadav has a wafer thin role. Tumkur Mohan, Tennis Krishna, Bank Janardhan have good share to perform.

Three of Gurukiran tunes are worth humming again. Editing is very fast and confusing from Sri of Crazy Minds. Cinematography of Ashok Cashyap is impeccable.

You cannot miss this film. That is mainly because of one person – UPENDRA.
