Posted date: 07 Sat, Nov 2015 – 12:14:46 PM

Title – Vamshoddaraka, Producer – Aravind, Direction – Aditya Chikkanna, Music – V Manohar, Cinematography – PKH Doss, Cast – Vijaya Raghavendra, Meghana Raj, Lakshmi, Vinayaprasad, Veena Sunder, Srinivasamurthy, Biradar, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Naveen Krishna, Satyajith, Sanketh Kashi, Honnavalli Krishna, Bank Janardhan, Mohan Juneja, Shankanada Aravind, Jayara, Maa Chandru, Shivakumar, Mysuru Ramanand and others.

Kannada film ‘Vamshoddaraka’ touches on various aspects of the contemporary time. In the end the image building of the hero is given prominence. Starting to end the respect to mother earth is given with prime importance. The promise what the protagonist makes is also on mother earth but not touching his mother head. The protagonist of the film Vishwa has made some convincing speeches before a big sacrifice he makes.

In the village chieftain family Vishwa is a ray of hope for continuing the legacy. His mother is completely happy with her son continuing the regime of her husband. At interval point Vishwa giving away all his belongings as gift to others is checked by his mother. After the interval Vishwa believes in his earlier slogan of living in the village and doing ‘Bhumi Taayi’ service. There is twist when his close friend Mahalinga married Mahadevi.

This twist the director Chikkanna taken up brings a bad name to Vishwa. Vishwa mother, Vishwa best friend Mahalinga mistook him. That is for just one entry of Vishwa to the house of Mahadevi, his friend wife.

What next you have to watch it on screen. There is Rangayana Raghu and Petrol Prasanna as trouble shooters. Lakshmi, Veena Sunder and Vinayaprasad are there to give some emotional moments. Srinivasamurthy for controlled performance, Rangayana Raghu and Sathyajit for out of control, Sadhu Kokila for lighter moments and womanizer role is oft repeated from him.

Vijaya Raghavendra from his emotion filled role earns laurels. Meghana Raj as female lead is very convincing; Ashwini and Naveen Krishna pair has given good results.

It is PKH Doss who steals the show from his camera as his top and wide angle shots are extremely good. V Manohar is apt for this kind of village based cinema. Three songs are on top in melody.

A double degree holder giving speech to striking doctors, the land sharks – you don’t miss to watch this 152 minutes and 13 seconds film.

Score – 4/5
