Forger the logic and biters that there is no ghost and watch this film ‘Rakshasi’ – it is a good entertainer with surprises till the last frame of the film.

What Dwarki Raghav has done in ‘By Two’ that is ‘Iruvaru Mattam’ for a mother and son characters, here in this ‘Raakshasi’ there is father and daughter bondage! You have to watch it to know such affinity.

It is like ‘Naa Ninna Bidalare’. The entertaining screenplay and good cinematography added with music lifts the standards of this film.

A remake of ‘Pisaasi’ in Tamil, Kannada version ‘Rakshasi’ sends many chilling moments. The violent life of a violinist at one point of time shakes your heart. The innocence behind the developments and the good and bad action of ghost is filled at the right time.

Look at the concept of hero and heroine not meeting. It is quite different. The admirer of hero Siddarth qualities is Bhavani (Sindhu Lokanath). Director Ashraf gives three examples to get liking in the heart for heroine. Unfortunately in the fourth scene Bhavani dies of road accident. Looking at the accident Siddarth with the help of an auto driver brings Bhavani to the hospital. Holding the hand of Siddarth it is time to collapse for Bhavani once hand is forcibly removed.

Siddarth brings one of the slippers of Bhavani to his house. He keeps that slipper with admiration. A few strange developments disturb Siddarth and his friends. They trace the past of Bhavani. They trace the reason behind such accident. Come in to contact with father of Bhavani. They insist on setting fire the buried Bhavani. No such development is not that easy.

When Siddarth finally traces the actual cause for Bhavani accident, he is shocked. When he goes with Bhavani father, there is some more startling surprise.

Navarasan as protagonist has given a sterling performance. GK Reddy as father is apt, friend characters added good support. Sindhu Lokanath smile is killing. Sangeetha is OK. The lady mantrik and her assistant sends good laughter in the theatre.

The song sung by a child with blind musicians is superb in melody. The cameraman has utilized the interiors and exteriors very well. The graphics are in good quantum in this film.
