This is a full length family entertainer laced with heart touching humanity at the climax. In the days of ‘Meltdown’ and shares crashing down, multi nationals closing shutters here is a huge bonus for your ticket price from ‘Masth Maja Maadi’ producer Soundarya Jagadish.
There is Soundarya and Aa ‘Jagadeesha’ mechchuva Kelsavu Idhe in this MMM. This is a sumptuous food added with lovely Desert served by Soundarya Namana Creations in the first venture.
This is a lavishly made Kannada film ‘Masth Maja Maadi’ where every frame is ‘Masth Masth’. The laugh riot especially in the first half would make you ‘Susthu’. Get prepared with energy when you enter the theatre to watch. When you come out from the theatre you wash the ‘Kannira Hani’ for yeomen work and definitely the laughing medicine would have increased your life span.
Although the inspiration is derived from Hindi film the standard, performances, music, cinematography, editing and urge to give a well thought out entertainer for the audience has not gone wrong from debutant director Anantharaju. Dialogue writer Ramnarayan, the timing of all the artists, the costumes designing the pretty good locations…..all add up to the quality and hold your attention.
The funny guys Khama, Shama, Rama and Mylari (Diganth, Vijaya Raghavendra, Nag Kiran and Komal Kumar) are out in the middle to churn out only just fun without logic. Three are sent out from the college and for Khama they do not make it difficult to be chased out by the principal for stealing the question paper. The sundry robbers the foursome traces Money Link Shastri (the money swindler role played by RN Sudarahan) on their way who gives a secret before his death in a road accident. The four guys know the secret that Rs.30 crore is hidden in Ooty just below the ‘M’ sign. Just after knowing the secret the foursome are traced by ACT Prathap (Sudeep). Pratap on a hunt of Money Link Shastri who has gobbled the public money is certain that the youths know the secret of Rs.30 crores. He chases them but they turn elusive. Finally a deal is fixed with Pratap that 60 percent for four guys and 40 percent of Pratap. How they reach the place after dividing in the company is yet another fun and frolic for the audience tow watch. You will find a good purpose the looted money going to the good cause.
The match winning team captain is no doubt director Ananthnaraju. Komalkumar is the man of the match. Sudeep grace is the first addition to the cinema. For Vijaya Raghavendra it is happiness of claiming 10 wickets in the match, for Diganth and Nagkiran it is six ball six runs happiness. Jennifer Kotwal is not run out but stay in the mind, the pinch hitter contributing a six from one scene to add up to the scoring are – Umasri, Rangayana Raghu (please do not slap male Preity Zinta Diganth so much) Sihikahi Chandru, Tennis Krishna, Mohan Juneja and others.
Master Snehith Jagadish is a treat to watch as little star. The racy steps he gives at this young age shows that he has a good career ahead for him. Upendra with 12 heroines sets the screen on fire. The three songs in the film – title song, Chori Chori Naa Oppikonde, Shakalaka boom boom…..are well scored by Balaji in his first film. M.R.Seen leaves a feeling what a ‘Scene’. The editing work has added extra strength to the whole cinema.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable entertainer. You can watch with the entire family, recommend your friends and relatives.
Laughing is the best medicine that increases your life span!
