From Krishna Nee Late Aagi Baaro……Kannada film it seems another talented music director for Kannada cinema has taken birth. That is the famous flute player Pravin Godkindi who has a strong background in classical and Hindustani style of music.
Pravin Godkindi had earlier scored music for Baraguru Ramachandrappa’s ‘Ugragami’ but the first commercial venture of him is ‘Krishna Nee Late Aagi……. He has scored music for seven songs for the lyrics of S Mohan (five songs), Ramanarayan, Shivanaje Gowda. Godkindi also sung the title track Krishna Nee Lateagi Baaro…. Rajesh, Supriya, Karthik, Ananya, Mangala, Hemanth, Chytra, Shanker Shanbag are the other singers.
Addressing the media at the audio release of his first commercial venture Pravin Godkingi said he has mixed the classical with the contemporary style with latest gadgets for this film. In places where there is no dialogue the music is given importance. I am for commercial films and let the industry not brand me as classical music director said Godkindi. I have not given up my style. For the story and mixing of music a few of the experiments have been made he pointed. After hearing the story and scenes from director Mohan I was getting the feel where I would fit analyzed Godkindi.
Godkindi was welcomed to cinema music by top actor Ramesh Aravind and director, writer and actor Mohan explained for the subject of Krishna and flute it is only Godkindi who came to his mind for the music. I also wanted intelligent Godkindi to take up music said Mohan.
