Yee Jeevanadalli documents, Hennina Manasthithi and Honnina quality sariyilla andhre thogabardhu! This is what the veteran actor Ramakrishna says at the crucial time for the second protagonist. He was pointing to his own daughter Nandini he does not know but audience knows and even the second protagonist also knows.
Kannada cinema channagilla andhre adhannu Nodabardhu is the police of Kannada audience that they are telling vigorously from last two years.
‘Samagama’ although in the television pattern of narration has absolutely nothing much to express. But producer Andhani Gowda taking flagship of direction (he has told this after film screening for media) has made some good alteration. But what is the effect. ‘Neerinalli Homa Madidha Hagidhe’. A newcomer actor and actress (Vidya is quite famous in Tamil Malayalam and Telugu) the film is releasing in Kapali theatre this week. The morning show itself decides with poor attendance.
Leaving all those after the film is made calculations the film ‘Samagama’ is aimed at the family audience that too middle class that has stopped coming to the theatres. That is the reason why we said it is best in small screen. However the friendship, love, respect, human values, lovely songs of veteran Subraya Chokkadi, Kiran lovely tunes, Suresh Babu’s camera work, the lovely locations selected for the film, the screenplay and dialogues well written are the plus points.
Nandini and Jayanth turn thick lovers from friendship whereas the friendship. In the family of Jayanth his father is very angry to this development as he has been long time friend and he just returned with talks of Nandini for another boy who is the son of a politician. All efforts to keep his son Jayanth shut on this love affair do not pay at the end because the journey of love between Nandini and Jayanth is too far.
As expected happens is the routine matter in the climax. Subraya Chokkadi’s songs ‘Munisu Tharave…..is well sung by Ajay Warior. Another song O Nanna Preethiya Geleya…is worth hearing again. Suresh Babu camera work is tidy.
Vishranth as newcomer deserved to be better in acting and dubbing done for him is hopeless. Vidya is the mainstay of this film. Well experienced actress Vidya who hails from Davanagere in Karnataka made it big in 13 films so far has given a chilling performance. Ramakrishna, Manjunath Hegde, Aruna Balaraj, Vijayalakshmi in the supporting roles plus comedians Prathap and Sunil have given best performances.
This is a film to watch because of neat presentation. God bless this team!
