He is Bangara, son of Bangarada Manushya but Platinum in his stand. It is for the farmers, to the farmer’s cinema from Jayanna and Bhogendra. Salute to the commitment and concern of the production house. Yet the food scarcity in this state cannot be created by overnight. It takes time for evaporation of food in warehouse. It may take months. Not an overnight issue. The farmers stop growing in excess and not feed the people what happens. The hunger starts. This would obviously touch the administration of the state. Eventually the government heed to the demands of the farmers.
Bangarara alias Shivaraj puts down 12 demands in favour of farmers – the cabinet meeting in a Ramapura village happens and gives approval for the demands of farmers. Right, the concept is good but in practicality? The protagonist does not believe in tomorrow is such a practical youth in the film.
Yogi Raj in his second film as director has utilised the image of Dr Rajakumar ‘Bangarada Manushya’. About forty years ago in the village the land was given to farmers by Bangarada Manushya, that is Dr Rajakumar. It is not under cultivation. The major demand of a politician to construct a factory in this place is the issue. The dry land area of course belongs to farmers. Most of the farmers are like slaves making loans. The crop failure, drought and no proper amenities from the government has put them down. The government is not working on what is there on papers. When the farmers of his father place are facing such a strenuous situation, the entry of Bangara alias Shivaraj changes the calculations. The farmer couple suicide Bangara brings the couple body to Freedom Park and demand cremation at this place. This becomes an uphill task. Bangara has the people power behind him.
When he uses all his money earned in foreign country for the safety of farmers of all the districts of Karnataka. The bag full of money for them is in exchange of an appeal. You grow crops for yourself but do not make it excess so that it reaches the middleman who in turn sells in cities.
When the farmers grown for them, the food scarcity obviously hits the people in cities, adjacent states also decline to give the food grains to state.
Dr Shivarajakumar as Shivaraj ala Bangara has given the right emotions and in action too he wins. The point of cancer in this character could have been avoided.
It is Srinivasamurthy who steals the show on a few occasions. Especially when Bangara is lying on bed, Srinivasamurthy performance is splendid. Shivaramanna, Vishal Hegde, Sharat Lohitashva, Sidlingu Sridhar (chief minister in the film) have given heart and soul into the roles. Vidya Pradeep has nothing much to boast.
V Harikrishna melody is another plus point of this film, cinematography by Jai Anand is precise to this 138 minutes and 24 seconds film.
Bangara in the shadow of ‘Bangarada Manushya’ is a film with commitment to farmers. The film is also dedicated to farmers of this country.
Good show by Jayanna and Bhogendra team. You can watch this once easily.
