A children film with lot of pranks in the first half opens up for a touching climax in the end. ‘Eleyaru Navu Geleyaru’ is a well driven 133 minutes cinema. The top factor of this film is the ‘Drama Juniors’ 10 participants. The film kicks off with a few funny incidents and the eight boys and two girls have shown great grit and determination. They look like natural actors. They are the main trump card of this film. In addition to that Anoop Seelin sweet tunes never miss your ears. The Prayer song especially is sure to linger in memory for a long time.
Nagaraj Gopal as producer and story writer takes the cake for its story line. Vikram Soori a former child actor and mentor of Drama Juniors season given convincing second half and the first half of the film is a bit dragging. Richard Louis coming back to cinema writing has picked words that are beyond the age limit of children. Darshan and Sudeep type dialogues in the mouth of child Achintya could have been toned down.
You mention any problem, the children have answer. They are ready to beat up a gang that is in mafia after they come to know from the headmaster in the school.
The convincing point is their qualities. All qualities put together finally go in for a big support to Vidya who is suffering from blood cancer at a very young age.
When the Rs.6 lakhs what they have to collect is not possible, it is Hakki Rama who finds the way out when a German ornithologist accidentally meet the team of children in the village.
Hakki Rama with the sound of a rare bird (that cannot fly) traces it after a few days of search in the forest. The German researcher on this bird click photographs of the bird and happily gives Rs.6 lakhs for the cure of Vidya.
The children are in zoom. All of them have done pretty good. Chotu Achintya scores while Hakki Rama emotional outburst is convincing.
Anoop Seelin gives the three melodious tunes and lyrics of Dr BR Lakshman Rao (sorrow song in the background) and MN Vyasa Rao (Prayer song) are worth hearing.
Ashok Raman cinematography is up to the mark. Kemparaj in editing could have reduced the length of the movie.
The children could easily bunk their school and watch this film.
