Another interesting film on woman empowerment ‘Hebbat Ramakka’ that had already got national award as best regional film is releasing this Friday and a premiere show is held today evening (Wednesday) at Raj Bhavan – Kannada cinema Artists Association.

A film by well known director NR Nanjunde Gowda stars Tara and Devaraj in lead roles. A rural woman should educate and bring awareness. For the present election scenario this film is well suited says Thara Anuradha. In politics how the power is misused is described in this film. I am very happy for doing this role. When I did Haseena, people recognized me in that name. Now they are already saying ‘Ramakka’. In an award winning film I am part is happy news adds Thara.

Kannada Development Board chief Prof SG Siddaramaiah written dialogues and lyrics for this film for the first time and it is because of director Nanjunde Gowda I have stepped in he says. The popularity of this film is so good that even chief minister of state addresses Thara as ‘Ramakka’. The accent of Kannada in Chitradurga and Tumakuru is utilized for this film. The film needs to be dubbed in other languages was the opinion of union minister.

The award should have been for acting, lyrics opined music director Poornachandra Thejaswi. Director Nanjunde Gowda addressing the media stated that the film got recognition at national level but for reach of it media is very important. The reservation for woman as envisage in the policies are discussed in this film. It is awareness film for woman especially.

Producer S A Puttaraju and his wife Smt Kavitha Raj were happy with the film bagging the award. Editor Basavaraju was present at the media address.

In over 60 theatres this film is released on coming Friday.
