The Kannada Film Industry has expressed support to Mahadayi and Kalasa Banduri protestors in the wake of five days protest in front of BJP office taken back on Wednesday. Very soon KFI is visiting Nargund belt where the crisis of farmers and drinking water is severe. In one of the two dates given, KFI would visit Nargund to know the crisis stated Dr Shivarajakumar.
As the deadline is fixed for January 2018 to sort out the issue, the Kannada film industry personalities met at KFCC and extended support on this issue.
The century star Dr Shivarajakumar, Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh, Shruthi, KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu, Producers Association secretary Soorappa Babu and other committee members met on Wednesday evening.
This is the second time KFI is extending full support to the people North Karnataka, we have reached Hubballi for support and till the drinking water issue of the people is not solved we would support stated KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu. For 7.5 TMC of water the Prime Minister should intervene on this issue felt Sa Ra Govindu.
For the protest the artist’s fraternity cannot come over night. When we reach for protest - does not degrade what we can do. Not only Mahadayi issue we are ready to extend support for any difficulty of the people of the state mentioned Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh.
Dr Shivarajakumar also stated that we are ready to come wherever you call. We are actors only in front of camera. We keep aside our makeup and extend support. It is because of people we are here today. For any difficulty all should support. The non Kannadigas living in Karnataka should also support the problem of the state. Farmer is our backbone. Giving money is not solution. You have given support for last 33 years for me. I would always support the issues faced by the state informed Dr Shiv.
Farmers Association leader Veeresh Shobanamath said film industry never left us alone. It is extending support. When we are in deep crisis anger comes out. We have met the chief minister and governor to submit memorandum. The issue should be solved before January. He also invited the film industry to come to Naragund to know the actual problems.
Dr Shivarajakumar and others accepting to this invitation said in two dates, we would come together on one day he pointed.
