In the maiden media address after taking over as new President of KFCC Basanthkumar Patil said in case of delay in getting nod for the Anti Piracy Act he would constitute a committee and with police protection curb the piracy that is eating away the profits of producers.

As of now the issue of Anti Piracy Act has gone to the President of India accent. Introducing the office bearers Basanthkumar Patil also informed the media the fruitful chat he had with Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa.

According to the recent meeting the government of Karnataka has asked the KFCC to give in writing the demands to take immediate steps.

Firstly the Single Window policy for Kannada cinema, secondly the building up of four floors instead of two floors at Kanteerava studios, thirdly the industry status to Kannada cinema, fourthly permissions to construct cinema halls within one month so that in one and half years 1000 cinema halls could be constructed have been placed before the government.

For the call of the government to conduct one day as Kempegowda Jayanthi from the cinema industry the nod has been given. On June 17th Kannada cinema industry is celebrating the Kempe Gowda Jayanthi at Bangalore Habba.

In the coming days a strict action to title registration only in Kannada will be taken when the media raised the issue of English titles to Kannada films. The workshop on what people want will also be taken up soon. For the violations of any of the rules of the KFCC there will be strict punishment stated Patil.
