The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce headed by Sa Ra Govindu has taken a firm decision in consultation with producer sector not to give new films from March 9 for UFO and Qube to release.

The decision not to give films has already been taken by other respective film chambers of South India from 2nd of March. KFCC in order to look at the commitment had deferred by a week.

The reason is excessive price structure by UFO and Qube. The demand of film industries in South is that they should reduce by 15 percent and give a share from the advertisement revenue they earn from the film screening.

Sa Ra Govindu with eight producers who announced the date of release on March 9 but decided to support good cause of KFCC addressed the media on Saturday morning.

The KFCC is making alternative arrangements for screening. The main stress is the projector and server provider that incur huge investment. The problem for release in multiplex and malls is not a problem. It is only in single screen the monopoly and high pricing structure had to be checked.

In case the problem is solved the respective film announced for coming weeks would come a later as for 16th of March all the eight films set for release on 9th would be accommodated.

The films such as Yogi Duniya, Dandupalya 3, O Premave, Nanagishta, Mukyamantri Kaladodnappo, Higondu Dina, Idam Premam Jeevanam were set for release on 9th of March. The respective producers were at the KFCC meeting on Saturday.

KFCC members MG Ramamurthy, NM Suresh, Praveen Kumar, producers TP Siddaraju, Thanush, Shivakumar, Manoj and others were present at the media briefing.
