Title – Real Police, Producer – Sadiqulla Azaad, Direction – Om Saiprakash, Music – Balaram, Cinematography – JG Krishna, Cast – Saikumar, Disha Poovaiah, Manjunath Hegde, Suchitra, Suhas, Silli Lalli Anand, Mimicry Rajagopal, Ganesh Rao and others.

The 98th film of Om Saiprakash is loaded with information and all of them are relevant to the present scenario. This 129 minutes ‘Real Police’ is really good in the second half, the first half is used for giving solutions to a few cases like Sand Mafia, corruption in police department and Jihad .

Saiprakash has his brand in tact in the narration. At the climax part the ‘Jihad’ issue in which Saikrishna comes in the picture is emotionally narrated. Yet the best part of the film features Saikumar and Manjunath Hegde.

It is not proper to reveal the climax of the film because it would dilute interest. The drug abuse case in which Malathi (Disha) has succumbed becomes the major issue of the film.

Malathi a rank student of a college professor played by Manjunath Hegde and Suchitra is found dead. The reasons of pregnancy and drugs figure out in the post mortem. The super cop Bharath Kumar has his own investigation that reveal that it is not accident but murder.

We have heard the mercy killing (Maryada Killing) cases, a similar case of a file killing for the good of a respected personality and media giving wrong injection in the society is the major worry this film has handled. Finally we feel like saluting ‘Real Police’.

It is one of the incidents in real life that producer Sadiqulla picked from ‘Police File’. In the construction of healthy society we need such mindset you would feel.

Saikumar has given controlled performance. His dialogue delivery is not that high in pitch. Perhaps after ‘Rangi Taranga’ Saikumar is selection of meaningful roles is a welcome step after 200 films. Look at his role in ‘Madamakki’, that was also quite different.

Manjunath Hegde is screen stealer from his charged up performance, Suchitra is weeping best, Disha Poovaih is cool and very casual in her role. Ganesh Rao as father of responsible song is pretty good.

Corruption money is like current, government money is like mother – a well written dialogue often comes in this film.

The song in the Touch Club Give me Love, take my love…is very well composed by music composter Balaram. Some of the top angle and close up shots of veteran JG Krishna are visual splendor.

Real Police is a real eye opener for youths, parents, police department and society!
