Earlier the KFCC President Jayaraj holding a meeting with Mr Amit Shah Home Minister of the country announced that the theatres will be open from October 1.
As on yesterday 30th September, the guidelines have come that theatres will be permitted to open from October 15. The restriction is that the Corona pandemic guidelines have to be strictly maintained. As such the attendance in theatres from October 15 is only fifty percent of the capacity of any screen in the country.
With this the theatres to reopen after 217 days in India and the Corona Pandemic has swallowed thousands of crores of business in this time.
For the public functions the limit is 200 persons of course maintaining the social distancing, mask for the face etc have to strictly follow.
The major call of the Indian film industry to reopen theatres is finally heard by the central government. Prior to it the sanction was given for shooting, post production etc with some conditions.
