The first Hindi cinema queen spot holder with a mammoth innings in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and a few Kannada films actress Sridevi passed awayon Saturday night around 11.30 pm at Dubai. At 54 she had massive cardiac arrest. Bony Kapoor and daughter Khushi were next to Sridevi when last call came from Yamadharmaraja.

In 1979 when Priya was made in Kannada and Tamil by SP Muthuraman, she was opposite Rajanikanth. Before that a film films went on the floor such as Bala Bharatha, Sampoorna Ramayana etc but not seen the light of the day.
Sridevi won five FF awards. The government of India awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor, in 2013. The real ‘Chandini’ of Indian cinema was Sridevi.
