You take a bet taking your family members to this unique suspense thriller cinema. Who is the real killer the question put up with your family members would not get the right answer even after six murders in a row. The needle of suspicion that falls on ACP Dev is expected.

Shiva Ganesh in the screenplay, selection of artists and technicians has given a bumper to thrill loving audience. Those who pooh-poohed his ability have got answer from this film ‘Trataka’.

The reason behind ACP Dev (Rahul Ainapura) coming to your mind is because he has the rare disease – CPS (Complex Partial Seizure). The cop in this disease loses his consciousness and obviously the suspicion falls on him. The audience also starts believing it. The picture Abhi Baaki Hein!

It is not a usual thriller in Kannada. It reminds the days of Sunil Kumar Desai films. A taut thriller is with spectacular performance from Rahul Ainapura, Ajith Jayaraj and Bhavani Prakash. All three are cops in this film is specialty.

Who has killed Nikhil brother of ACP Dev? The question starts in the mind as the film opens up. Two ACP’s – Dev and Ravi (Rahul Ainapura and Ajith Jayaraj) are good friends. The murder of Dev brother and hunt for killer takes him to the enemies of his life. A series of murders and Dev on the spot with rare disease CPS finally makes his friend ACP Ravi to doubt him.

At this time the idea of Ravi to save his friend Dev by declaring him as dead works out as Dev falls from a height after allegation of his friend cum ACP Ravi.

Dev is kept in secret place by Dr Aparna (Hridaya) and Sharath (Yash Shetty) handling the CPS disease of Dev gives support. As the super cop Subashini (Bhavani Prakash) arrives on the scene the pressure among all – Dev, Ravi, Sharat, Dr Aparna starts building up.

After explaining the series of development we feel it is not right to further unravel the mystery that is very interesting and you have to enjoy it on silver screen.

In this 127 minutes ‘Trataka’ (means holding your attention) the bearded cops – Rahul Ainapura and Ajith Jayaraj have given their career best performance.

For Rahul the role is difficult. He has underplayed the role and shown his strength well, Ajith Jayaraj as cop has good going in this film.

Akshata and Hridaya are OK, Yash Shetty as Sharath has given his best again. The background score and two songs are on top in melody. Hingu Iruthade Baduku Savu Baruthade… so meaningful and touching.

Cameraman Vinod Bharathi has excelled in good lighting required for the situations. Dialogues are well written by Sairam.

This ‘Trataka’ is the best thriller running. You would miss your calculations when your brain starts working after Nikhil character murder.

Go watch this film without fail.
