The year 2019 major controversy was during the Parliament election of Mandya. Smt Sumalatha Ambarish was supported by two top stars Darshan and Yash irked the JDS contestant Nikil Kumaraswamy party. A few of the brickbats thrown against Smt Sumalatha Ambarish was unwanted and unnecessary. After Sumalatha Ambarish won the MP election as independent candidate the irked JDS party was quiet. The ‘Jodeththu’ tag for Darshan and Yash was talked much and ‘Nikil Elliddiyappa’ was trolled to the highest level.

·         There was friction in Challenging star Darshan and Kichcha Sudeep fans when Pailwan was released. The controversy of fans later melted down.

·         Chemistry of Kariyappa actor Chandan Achar not coming for publicity irked the producer.

·         Regional Censor Board rejected Dandupalyam 4 but censor was obtained in the revising committee.

·         I Love You hot song on Upendra and Rachita Ram ‘Mathanade Mayavade….was talked much. Rachita Ram father Mr Ram declined to watch this song.

·         Premiere Padmini story issue was raised by writer Vasudendra. Director Ramesh Indira asked for proving it.

·         Prakash Rai contested the Lok Sabha elections and he lost. His statements on various occasions were fodder for controversy.

·         Super star Upendra Prajakiya political party contested all LS seats and lost without deposit back.

·         Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh in face book made some comments and he had fight with Prakash Rai quite often.

·         The long pending Vishnu Memorial got green signal yet the fans want memorial in Bengaluru.

·         Nathicharami getting 5 awards at the national level was another issue in the list of controversies. Dayal Padmanabhan filed a case and now the stay order has come not to distribute the awards.

·         Kapata Nataka Patradari – hero Balu Nagendra and heroine Sangeetha Bhat kept away from publicity of the film.

·         Kotigobba 3 Poland controversy of detaining the manager by tour operator was later solved by Jaggesh and Union Minister Sadananda Gowda.

·         Dubbed films came with no fear but did not get any favor from the audience. All dubbed films to Kannada were rejected.

·         The big films of Kannada faced the piracy from Tamil Rockers. The solving of piracy issue is a distant dream. Darshan Yajamana, Sudeep Pailwan, Puneeth Rajakumar Natasarvabowma faced the piracy threat.
