Title – VAIRA, Producer – Dharmasri Manjunath and Geetha Entertainment, Direction – Navarasan, Music – Ravi Basrur, Cineamtography – Nitin, Cast – Navarasan, Priyanka Malnad, Tabla Nani, Harry, Kauthar, Manjula, Kempe Gowda and others.
Director Navarasan in his debut has shown great skill in narration. He goes on changing the calculations of the audience to reach a justice. It is a strong in output in second half and the subject of Navarasan is sure to give thrill to the audience with captivating screenplay.
In cinema field there is compromise and compensation is a must. When one enters the love in this case is a peanut. It is money that changes and morality that drops to the lowest level. Navarasan with this loss of love and gain of money in the life of Priya moves on to say how friendship can solve any crisis.
The plot that Rajiv (Navarasan) hatches is interesting. That even fools the police department on his decision to teach a lesson to his two friend’s death. It is Raghava at the receiving end when Priya ditches him for achievement in life at any cost. Priya stabs her lover Raghava and how the body of Raghava with young friend is burnt the proof for Rajiva to take revenge.
Rajiva enacts the drama of a ghost of Raghava. He has made sufficient arrangement to take revenge on Priya first. Then as Raghava he takes the toll of film producer who made Priya to ditch her lover.
How the proof to this Ghost drama is passed on to police is also interesting part. At the end the police give half an hour time for Rajiva alias Raghava to finish his task. Once the ghost come to normal in the eyes of police he is set free.
Navarasan has picked the right role once again after ‘Rakshasi’, in this film ‘Vaira’ with responsibilities of acting, direction, story, screenplay and dialogues he has lived up to the expectations of mass audience.
The back portion revealing of Priyanka Malnad was not necessary to bring anger in her when Rajiva clicks the photographs at her birthday. The cutting machine shown quite a few times could also been avoided.
Priyanka Malnad has come out well in her performance. The senior cop actor and Tabla Nani combination is good, the new villain has come to Kannada cinema in the producer role.
The 107 minutes 31 seconds ‘Vaira’ has good background score and one meaningful song in the second half from Ravi Basrur. Cinematography from Nitin is quite impressive.
For all thrill lovers this is a good pre deepavali offer!
