OLL MUNISWAMY TRIBUTE TO KASHINATH

The last film of veteran actor, director and producer Kashinath is ‘Oll Muniswamy’. Remembering the legend the team paid tribute to the said demise of Kashinath offering flower petals to the portrait of the actor.

Anandapriya director of this film disclosed that he had one year friendship with this film and Kashinathji. When I finished writing script the obvious thought was Kashinath. He took one week time for the reading given. Later he felt happy for doing the ‘Swami’ role for the first time. Only condition he put was taking him in direction department of the film. Later 30 days in and around Mudigere shoot was held. He never showed disparity. He was so much involved. A special song was also written to showcase him in Kabali, Bond style. He was told about the song a day before his death. He agreed to come for the shoot. Now he is not there with us is unbelievable. Anandpriya was emotional when he said this and tears dropped.

Gautham in his address said Kashinath sir has taken Kannada cinema industry to different level. I was happy to share screen space with him. It was my fortune. Kashinath knew how the future of cinema industry would be. I was ascertaining it from interaction. There was also talk of doing ‘Munswamy Matha’ in Kashinath leadership. All his films were dubbed because there were no one to match his quality of acting.

I am a very small actor but friendship he extended was so good and he used to give me suggestions. He had cough yet when he was in front of camera everything was under control. I cant imagine that he is not with us stated hero of the film Niranjan Wodeyar.

Producer Keshava Gowda, Shivamogga theatre artists recalled the acting experience with Kashinath.

As of now two songs are balance. The film ‘Ol Munswamy’ is likely to release by February end.
