Two of the music maestro Ilayaraja films are releasing this week. That is ‘Bagyadha Balegara’ and ‘Prem Kahani’. That means nearly 17 songs of the maestro is before the film audience of Karnataka. According to the sources the songs alone storing in the camera would have touched nearly Rs.4 crores and Ilayaraja’s package deal per film is Rs.60 lakhs. That means nearly 5.20 crores money is deployed on the 15 songs from the two films. The expenditure for the songs shoot of Prem Kahani is roughly around 2.5 crores and the village based film ‘Bagyadha Balegara’ songs would be not less than Rs.1.25 crores.

Bhagyadha Balegara has eight songs in which most of them are folks. Prem Kahani has nine songs. Tippu and LN Shastry have miniscule presence while the seventeen songs of Music maestro Ilayaraja are sung by Bela Shande, Ilayaraja, Rahul, Shreya Goshal Sriram Partha Sarathi, Sadhana Sargam in Prem Kahani while in ‘Bagyadha Balegara’ the eight songs are sung by Shreya Goshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Ilayaraja, Udit Narayan, Chitra, Reeta, Karthik and Manjari. In ‘Bhagyadha Balegara’ most of them are folks and native singers contributing it have extra edge. But that has not happened even when S Narayan’s film ‘Sevanthi Sevanthi’ was scored by SA Rajakumar.

‘Prem Kahani’ the second film of director Chandru is starring Ajay and Sheela. Chandrasekhar is the cameraman. Srilakshmi Balaji productions KM vishwanath and G Ravikumar are the producers of this much expected film. This is based on a real life story says director Chandru. Prakash is the editor, Ravi Verma is the stunt director. Ramu, Madan Harini, Raghu, Imran Harsha are the choreographers. Kalyan, Nagendra Prasad and Kaviraj have penned the songs.

Rangayana Raghu, Rajesh, Sudha Belawadi, Lokanath, Mico Nagaraj and Tennis Krishna are also in the supporting cast.

Simhadri Productions ‘Bagyadha Balegara’ a film by ‘Nanda Nanditha’ producer Ramesh Kashyap that has the story from Ajay Kumar is a very crucial film for hat trick hero Shivarajakumar. He has no hits in the last year too. Navya Nair is the female lead. Sudharani, Anu Prabhakar have appeared in a song each of this film. Adhi Lokesh, Amrutha, Padmavasanthi, Sudha Belawadi, Padmini Prakash, Girish, Prakash Hegodu are in the cast.

Veteran of nearly 90 films Saiprakash is the director of this film and everyone is hoping this film to become another ‘Janumadha Jodi’ in the box office. Malavalli Saikrishna has penned the dialogues, Kaviraj and Nagendra Prasad lent the lyrics.
