Convening press meets after the announcements of the 2007-2008 Karnataka State film awards the ace director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar and producer K Manju hit back on giving 3rd position to Mathad Mathad Mallige and said they would not receive the award. That was the heat of the moment.

The presence of Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar and K Manju at Chitra Samooha felicitation evening on Friday raised doubts. When K Manju was questioned on this he said we have to respect the Karnataka state government and so receiving the third position award to ‘Mathad Mathad Mallige’ as elders have advised not do so.

This is a welcome decision from Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar and K Manju!
