Forget about whether it is an original script or remake. ‘Raam’ is a bombastic entertainer for the entire family. There is a shade of ‘Ondagona Baa’ Kannada film but Puneeth Rajakumar and Priyamani presence plus lovely cinematography, wonderful supporting cast plus V Harikrishna music makes this worth watching. The surprises, rejoining the broken hearts, and comedy interspersed in the film is high class.

The ‘Raam’ of Thretayuga won against Raavan but the Kaliyug Raam wins against the strong disturbed minds that are suffering with ego clash. Finally it is good for the audience and so is for the characters in the film.

Raam (Puneeth Rajakumar) knows how to patch up the relations and build new ones. ‘Buddhi ironu Bhoomi Suththane adre Budhivanthake ironu Bhumine Suthisthane’ is his intelligence. Ivanu Bahala speed! Edurugade Shatru Bandru Snehitha thara Kanodhu Ram capability! At the same time he says ‘Preethi’ annodhu showcase trial roomnalli hakkolo batte alla lifetime wearing clothes he says. Such a youngster has to get rid of the obstacles to win Pooja who he kidnapped accidentally. Pooja has horrible broken family. Now it is the turn of Ram to patch up to win Pooja. That happens when Ram comes to the house of common auditor Krishnamurthy (Rangayana Raghu).

The flow of comedy, sentiments, action, and romance are well balanced at regular intervals. K Madesh has given an extra dose from his earlier ‘Gaja’ film. The dialogue of veteran Srinath to Puneeth – Kelavaru huttid mele acting barthare adhre yee Raam hutthane acting thilidu bandironu! This is a right one for an actor like Puneeth Rajakumar.

Puneeth Rajakumar is the best in this film too. The punching dialogues and punching the villains is a treat once again. Priyamani is the actress of high caliber. She will be a good choice for many films to come as talent is in her very in tact. Rangayana Raghu is another major screen stealer. The 20 plus talented and senior artists are so good to watch on the screen.

Hosa Gana Bajana…sung by Puneeth Rajakumar is peppy. Neenandare nanage Ishta Kane….is melodious best from V Harikrishna. Krishnakumar has not left any room for complaint in his cinematography.

‘Raam’ is thoroughly not only for Puneeth Rajakumar fans but also for the entire family. Aditya Babu has made a right choice this time.
