The renowned director of Kannada cinema Yogaraj Bhat arrived at the Dr Ambareesh Bhavan on Tuesday night to bless his ‘Shishya’ Ravidra Parameshwarappa maiden directorial venture ‘Yellow Gangs’.
Looking at the good crowd for the trailer release event Yogaraj Bhat hoped the same attendance is seen in the theatres when the film is released, it would be good fortune for the producer. I had the feel of a ‘Putani Action' from this trailer. Ravindra worked with me in ‘Mugulu Nage’. He was upset one of the days of shooting – that is because of the property for the shooting not in proper condition. That day Yogaraj Bhat realized that he would turn independent director. When you have the feel of ‘Nammadu’ the things fall in the right place feels Yogaraj Bhat. A cinema should be done ‘Guddaadi, Badidaadi’ for a good end result that is most important, felt Bhat. He wished the team of ‘Yellow Gang’ good success at the box office.
What is this ‘Yellow Gangs’? According to the director the drug money travels to different places and gangs are behind it. What happens in the end is the climax part he says. Debut director Ravindra Parameshwarappa remembered three mentors in his life – Saravana, Aditya Kuigal and Yogaraj Bhat. He has watched various English films and Robert Mackey impressed him to get into direction. The film ‘Yellow Gangs’ has 16 main characters, he says.
Sugnan another ace cameraman of Kannada filmdom says this Vibhinna Studio film is made with support of technicians – a few of us have invested in this film. Earlier it was thought of a crowd funding but Navodaya School old students joined hands in shaping up this film, added Sugnan.
