Unique title, family relationship –human values plus a fine love story constitute the contents of ‘For REGN’ Kannada film that went on the floors at Sri Ambabhavani temple, near Devaraj Urs Bhavan on Friday morning.
It is Naveen Dwarakanath's debut direction while Naveen Rao is producer of the film. To this team at the helm is writer and comedy actor Tabala Naani.
It is a romantic love story at the outset. For everything in life one has to register to get further going. In relationships also such registration and that later become bondage are important. Naveen Dwarakash a software professional got full marks for his complete involvement in the script and story from actors like Sudharani, Sudha Belawadi, Babu Hirannaiah, Milana Nagaraj and Prithvi Ambar, hero of the film.
Naveen Dwarakanath possesses a good stint from college days in the field of theatre working in the camps of N Rudrappa, CR Simha. Plays, mono acting and mimicry were his forte. He made a short film Shadow in 2005 in English, this one among the six short movies. One of his short films ‘Yellow Board’ was screened to over 6000 children. In the last one and half years Naveen Dwarakash worked on his script and screenplay ‘For Regn’.
It is over a cup of chai producer Naveen Rao inquired with senior actor and writer Tabala Nani on joining hands. Tabla Nani worked on screenplay and writing dialogues too. It is not the team that has just come and he is playing the favorite role of ‘Sodaramava’ in the film = Tabla Nani is in fact the supervisor of developments of the film.
Sudharani veteran actress immensely liked the narration style of director Naveen Dwarakanath and the reason for accepting is the film precisely suiting the present generation she says.
It is Nava=Naveena cinema for sure said Sudha Belawadi clubbing the names of producer and director Naveen. She was impressed with the title first and narration style of the director. The human values are good in this film and in the days of asking for date and rate, this director given precise narration mentioned Sudha Belawadi.
Another veteran actor Babu Hirannaiah also got impressed with the title and narration. When he came to know Tabala Nani was on board he was happy there would be a place for ‘Vidambane’ in the film. It is certainly found when he got the narration from Naveen.
For lead actors Milana Nagaraj and Prithvi Ambar it is the story line, screenplay and the title of the film that impressed. In addition to it the human relations and values are well thought out says the duo appearing together for the first time.
Vivek is the youngest of the team handling cameras and he wants his work to speak, Harish is scoring five songs and it is a debut for him too.
