Dipped in loans Dr Dwarakish, Mahakulla of Kannada cinema finally sold his 13^th house to clear the long pending debts.

The house with nine rooms situated at HSR Layout, brought from the profits of ‘Aptha Mithra’ (Dr Vishnuvardhana and Soundarya in lead roles) sold for Rs.10.5 crores according to sources.

Rishab Shetty actor, director and producer have purchased this house on a deal arrived a few days ago.

Apparently it is from the direction of P Vasu ‘Aptha Mithra’ Dwarakish made a profit of Rs.18 crores in 2005 after 18 years of suffering losses from the film business. He bought this house in HSR layout with nine rooms. He has five sons in his 75 years of life.

Now the root cause for the huge loss and sale of the house is from the director P Vasu who was responsible for shaping Malayalam film ‘Mani Chitrathal’ as ‘Aptha Mithra’ and sequel as ‘Aptha Rakshaka’. P Vasu previous film for Dwarakish Chitra ‘Aayushmanbhava’ featuring Dr Shivarajakumar and Rachita Ram resulted in huge losses. Before this film, Dwarakish Chitra also suffered huge losses – Amma I Love You and Chowka.

The final brunt came from Aayushmanbhava losses for Dwarakish Chitra. Apparently, the first house Dwarakish purchased was in Thyagarajanagara at a cost of Rs.1.40 lakhs in 1970. This was spruced up spending Rs.1 lakhs in those days.
