In the fag end of this year the highly talented and daughter of illustrious father P Lankesh – Kavitha Lankesh is forging ahead with other language movies to direct.
Kavitha Lankesh who was shot in to fame from ‘Deveeri’ that got her Aravindam Puraskara award for debut and many other state awards too for her films is moving to Hindi and Tamil filmdom.
Kavitha Lankesh director of Deveeri, Bimba, Alemari, Preethi Prema Pranaya, Thananam Thananam and Avva kept silent and took up a television serial. Now with 15 scripts in tact in her personal computer has been able to get right producers not for Kannada but for other languages like Hindi and Tamil.
The Hindi film will be a comedy film and Tamil will be action film. The story of this Tamil film was narrated to a Kannada producer who suggested changes that was not liked by Kavitha Lankesh.
Speaking to this correspondent Kavitha yelled at the remake lovers. Some of the producers tried to convince me with a CD of other language films in their pocket. I have turned down Kavitha laughing at them sipped her favorite red wine.
